The SWS inspection, the team performed the inspection on the following network:
- Bellevue & Beverly Hills WS: 20th & 21st of July 2023
- Teouma WS: 28th July 2023
- Les Cascade WS: 3rd August 2023
- Bukura WS: 10th August 2023 (TBC)
Inspection of the following network is done in accordance with a checklist that deals mainly with safety, reliability, and technical specifications around different sections of the network. The inspection commenced from the water source(s) to the reservoir and the distribution pipe(s) towards the customer end; these items are as follows:
- Pumps: either it be submersible or mono pumps including shed
- Pipes between the water source and reservoirs (large Storage tanks)
- Reservoirs
- Transmission/Distribution pipeline installed on the network.
- Visual inspection of distribution types of equipment such as valves, pipes, water meters, etc
In the end, the overall network is mapped using GPS for the purpose of constructing a Small Water Supply (SWS) GIS database.
