The Wintua Electricity network is inspected on the 21st of June 2023. This is a hybrid system that comprises Solar PV modules connected on both the AC and DC sides of the system to charge the batteries and at the same time provide power to the loads during peak hours of the day. A backup diesel generator is incorporated for the sole purpose of electricity supply during extended days of autonomy whenever battery capacity is low. The following points a considered during the inspection of the hybrid Solar PV System:
- Safety of ground-mounted Solar PV Array
- Safety and reliability of Powerhouse, including:
- Inverter room
- Generator room; and
- Battery storage area
- Individual rooms above are inspected in parallel to these equipments:
- Renewable inverter
- Battery inverter charger
- Battery bank
- Rooftop solar PV including controller at the DC side of the system.
- Diesel Generator
- Wiring connections
- Safety inspection of the electricity network
