Overview:
This Monthly Energy Snapshot issued by the Utilities Regulatory Authority (the Authority) provides information and data on the electricity market in Vanuatu in August 2022. The information and data outlined are only for electricity utilities that are regulated by the Authority. During the month, the energy market experienced a decrease in renewable energy contribution compared to last month, which gives rise to an increase in diesel contribution of 0.46%. The UNELCO monthly adjusted tariff had decreased by 0.01 % from July 2022 tariff. The total power produced and sold by regulated utilities had slightly increased from July 2022 by 1.76 % and 1.80 % respectively.
