Overview:
This Monthly Energy Snapshot issued by the Utilities Regulatory Authority (the Authority) provides information and data on the electricity market in Vanuatu in October 2022. The information and data outlined are only for electricity utilities that are regulated by the Authority. During the month, the energy market experienced a decrease in renewable energy contribution to total power produced which results in an increase in diesel contribution of 3.67 %. The UNELCO monthly adjusted electricity tariff for October increased by 3.63 % from September 2022 tariff. The total power produced and sold by regulated utilities had decreased from September 2022 total by 1.3 % and 3.5 % respectively.
