Overview:
This report issued by the Utilities Regulatory Authority (the Authority) provides an electricity market update in Vanuatu for the month of February 2024 for electricity utilities that are regulated by the Authority. During the month, diesel remained as the dominant source of generating power in Vanuatu. Renewable energy contribution from hydro sand wind had slightly increased compared to the previous month. Power produced during the month had decreased compared from to January 2024, however total power sold showed a positive increase during the month.
