This report issued by the Utilities Regulatory Authority (the Authority) provides an electricity market update in Vanuatu for the month of July 2025 for electricity utilities that are regulated by the Authority. While total power generated increased by 0.1% from June 2025, power sales also decreased by 16.2%1. There was a decrease in wind and hydro contributions during the month. Diesel remained the dominant generation source, supplying 83.56% of electricity. During the month, fuel prices in Santo decreased, and prices in Efate recorded an increase. Electricity tariffs for the month stood at 59.56 Vatu/kWh for UNELCO and 57.11 Vatu/kWh for VUI Ltd.
